HELLO!
First of all, this is a test.
Not necessarily a test test but a little practice session for me, as I'm in the process of learning to code my own website.
I believe myself to be a creative person and frankly, in this day and age, it's a bit hard to focus on anything worthwhile. Especially, when social media algorithmns are controlling what I consume and the frequency of my artistic output.
I know, personally that I spend too much time on my phone. But not just on my phone but on social media apps that bombard me with bad news, good news, frivolous trends and mindless drama.
I've wanted to create a personal website for quite some time. For YEARS. I have no idea how I didnt happen across any of the free and fun hosting websites like Neocities before the big 2025 (I guess the Madame Algorithmn isn't working as she's supposed to smh)
I guess if anyone's reading this, you've realised that I haven't introduced myself. I guess that's for a reason. Privacy? I'm a very private person in general and in this era, it hasn't been easy. However, although I don't post much about my life on the internet. I can't escape the sense of being watched and monitored. I guess, I want this space to be about me, for me and by me. A sense of control.
Anyway! I won't be rude though haha. You can call me Jennie/Terra or my website name (TerrazzoKitten). I'm currently twenty-one years old! I am creating this site essentially for my personal expression and a journalling of my thoughts.
First, my first page (this page), is essentially a journalling/practice of the coding things I've learnt implemented. :)
So far, I've done two basic HTML tutorials: the html basics in Neocities and a 7hr html course on Codecademy... I've a little haha but I'm excited to learn more.
I'm hoping to learn a bit of CSS of course to make my site look nice :D but I think I'm getting ahead of myself!
